Mark Giannini of Memphis, TN
is a high level executive in the information technology field. In his younger
years he was behind the creation and development of two successful IT firms
that became highly reputable, before he eventually sold them to be managed by
others. In his most recent book, The
Tallest Pygmy: The New Paradigm For
Transformative IT that Every C-Suite Executive Must Know and Understand,
Mark Giannini tells all on how to run a successful IT operation, and he puts a
heavy amount of importance on getting customers involved in a business’
operations.
Customers keep a business above water, but it the
relationship is much more complex than that, says Mark Giannini. Customer
loyalty is gained through the proven help that each company’s solution offers
to the customer; if the customers find themselves struggling they may seek new
ways to improve their businesses, which also means scouting for other
businesses to help them. To run a successful IT operation, businesses must keep
in close contact with their customers and make sure that their services are
helping the customer’s situation improve with causation. Ponder challenges that
the customer may be facing, and then look for ways that you can help erase
those challenges.
